The story is all about trips that my niece Alexis and myself made throughout the Northeast in the last year or so in search of good art pottery made in North Carolina, circa 1920s-1970. I think we made some great finds!

Interestingly, I have also included pictures of a twentieth century earthenware vase that I found yesterday, while visiting Maine, and I suspect it was made in North Carolina. There appears to be some slip-decoration on the exterior and interior, and the form reminds me of smaller sized red earthenware egg cups made in Virginia in the late 1800s.
