Great Inscribed 19th Century Stoneware Jug Owned by the Rochester Museum & Science Center in New York

While conducting some online research a few weeks ago, by chance I came across a few pictures of this great inscribed early-nineteenth century salt-glazed stoneware jug. The jug is apparently owned by the Rochester Museum & Science Center in Rochester, New York, and was displayed by the museum about 40 years ago.

I haven't conducted any further research into the history of this jug, but it appears to be inscribed on one side with the name, "Captain Gilbert Conklin," while the other side is decorated with a longer inscription, "Beware don't  give this Jug a Check / Sure as you do, I'll break your neck / Cornwall Nov. 18, 1812."
