Just a F.Y.I. - with the near completion of my forthcoming two-volume, 1,422 page, tenth book, titled, An Early Industry of Household Wares: The Red Earthenware of Salem Village, Danvers, Peabody, Beverly and Salem, Massachusetts, due out in the winter of 2026 -- I am now working on an eleventh book with a group of people, including New York author and historian Warren Broderick, titled, A Monumental History: Stories of Red Earthenware Production in Western Massachusetts, the Berkshires and Vermont. The book will include some great new research, where these names will be covered from Western Massachusetts and Vermont: Goldthwaite, Norton, Wadsworth, Titus, Brooks, Whiting, Crafts, Wait, Field, Upton, Clark, Wells, Bradley, Hutchinson, Bailey, Fenton, Woodman, Ward, Day, Farrar, Drake and Wright, among others.
The book will also identify the work of a potter who was the first to produce red earthenware in Vermont, predating the wares made by Captain John Norton (1758-1828) in Bennington by almost a decade. Tons of great archaeology will also be included in the book.
