A Great Early Image Showing Stoneware For Sale Presumably in an American Store

While recently reviewing a number of historical photographs, I came across this image on a cabinet card showing the interior of an American store presumably located in the Midwest. There are a number of fascinating aspects to see in this photo, although the dozen or more stoneware crocks and jugs really piqued my interest, seeing that I believe they were all made in Red Wing, Minnesota around the turn of the twentieth century.

Cabinet cards are photographs mounted on stiff pieces of cardboard. They were introduced in the 1860s and were produced up until the 1920s. I believe the five gallon mark seen on some of the crocks can attribute these pieces to the Red Wing Pottery, perhaps as late as 1910. Nonetheless, a really neat image!
