Some 19th Century Red Earthenware from Northern New England that Sold Yesterday in Litchfield, Connecticut

The auction results were strong yesterday for some of the nineteenth century northern New England red earthenware that sold at Litchfield Auctions in Litchfield, Connecticut, which was consigned from the personal estate of  Jeff Trundy of Washington, Connecticut and Augusta, Maine. Although the highlight was a lidded red earthenware jar likely made in North Yarmouth, Maine, which was previously owned by Maine folk art collector Ray Egan. The jar had previously sold at New England Auctions in Branford, Connecticut in January 2024 for $4,200 plus the buyer's premium: http://www.earlyamericanceramics.com/2024/01/a-very-good-selection-of-red.html.

Another possible North Yarmouth object that sold from the Ray Egan Collection in 2024 was a nineteenth century red earthenware jug that brought $1,700 plus the buyer's premium, while yesterday it sold for $850 plus the buyer's premium: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/167925696_maine-redware-jug-with-handle.
