In Search of Help Tracking Down a Dated Early 19th Century Red Earthenware Jar from Bristol County, Mass.

I’m looking for the whereabouts of this early nineteenth century slip decorated double-handled red earthenware jar that I was hoping to get better photos of for the book I’m working on now…should the current owner want it published. I believe it was made by the Purinton family in Bristol County, Massachusetts, although the Purinton family’s roots began in Essex County, Massachusetts in the 1600s. This family was influential with red earthenware production in the South Danvers (Peabody) area and Bristol County before the American Revolution. The jar is dated in slip “1812.” It last sold as part of the Hilary and Paulette Nolan Collection at Northeast Auctions in Manchester, New Hampshire in August of 2004. 

This jar was also previously displayed as part of an exhibit curated by Brian Cullity in 1991 at the Heritage Planation in Sandwich, Massachusetts on Cape Cod, titled, Slipped & Glazed: Regional American Redware: https://www.amazon.com/Slipped-Glazed-Regional-American-Exhibition/dp/0939059061.
