My niece Alexis and myself picked up this late eighteenth or early nineteenth century red earthenware jar yesterday at the antique shows in Brimfield, Massachusetts. The jar is a type made by the Clark family in New Hampshire, whereas I suspect this jar was made at one of Peter Clark’s (1743-1826) family businesses in either Lyndeborough or Francistown, New Hampshire, circa 1780-1840. I was told the jar was found decades ago in New York.
