A Recently Acquired 19th Century Marbled Slip Decorated Red Earthenware Pitcher Possibly Made in Connecticut or New York

I was very happy to have acquired this nineteenth century marbled slip decorated red earthenware pitcher last week, which I believe could have been made by John Betts Gregory (1782-1842) in either Connecticut or New York before 1840. Interestingly, Gregory is known for this type of marbled decoration on plates and possibly platters, although little is known about other forms that he may have produced during his lifelong career.
