A Pair of 19th Century Red Earthenware Pitchers Adorned with Figures at the Spout

A nineteenth century slip decorated red earthenware pitcher adorned with a lion's head at the spout sold a few weeks ago at Waddington's in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The pitcher is most likely not American or Canadian in origin, although it sold for $137.50 Canadian plus the buyer's premium: https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/american-redware-pottery-jug-19th-century-45-c-ab7fd9c909?objectID=200329941&algIndex=undefined&queryID=6bf3028008be81e86343a2e98182f223.

However, the reason I posted this object is because I suspect it is related to another nineteenth century red earthenware marbled slip decorated pitcher that I have known about for years, which is owned privately in Pennsylvania. This pitcher differs slightly in form, although it is probably from a similar origin, where it is adorned with a ram's head at the spout.
