Forthcoming Maine Book Is Heading To The Printer This Week!

F.Y.I. -- for anyone interested -- my forthcoming seventh 577-page book, titled, From One Town Came Many: The Red Earthenware Industry of Ancient North Yarmouth, Maine, is heading to the printer this week and will be available from my publisher Historic Beverly in Massachusetts, as well as retailers and bookstores located in major cities all over America, Canada and possibly elsewhere.

This book is part of my ongoing book series, and besides wares made in North Yarmouth, it also covers early production in Portland, Days Ferry, Portsmouth, Exeter and Newburyport. There is also lots of new eighteenth and nineteenth century Maine archaeology from places like Buxton, Limington, Hollis, Portland, among other locations.

I worked with museums, archaeology departments and private collectors from all over the country on this book. Also published in the book in its entirety is the Dr. Brian Mills Collection of Maine red earthenware and stoneware, which I think many people will be excited to see! Furthermore, the book also covers some production in Vermont, Western New York and Ontario, Canada because wares in these locations can sometimes be mistaken for Maine production.
