Staten Island Research Story Published in this Week's Issue of Antiques & the Arts Weekly

Published in the current January 31, 2020 issue of Antiques & the Arts Weekly is a research story I wrote about red earthenware and stoneware found on Staten Island in New York City in the 1700s and 1800s. Some colonial production is covered, but the majority of the wares date from the late-eighteenth and nineteenth century period. This is when utilitarian pottery was abundant on the island because of the expanding population after the Revolutionary War. I will post a PDF to the story soon for those who do not have access to the publication.

But in the meantime, if you are interested and you did not read the New York City feature story I wrote,  titled, "The Red Earthenware Available in the 18th and 19th Centuries in New York City," which was published in the October 2018 issue of Maine Antique Digest, then I would recommend reading it.
