Nevertheless, this is a wonderful late-eighteenth or early-nineteenth century red earthenware jar from southeastern Massachusetts that was recently discovered in North Carolina. The size of this object is rare standing over ten-inches tall. The glaze is also a style regularly found with early red earthenware manufactured in both Essex County and southeastern Massachusetts.
