This is a short post today showing some recent colorfully glazed twentieth century North Carolina pottery finds in Massachusetts - the first three unmarked earthenware objects were just found this morning at my local Sunday morning flea market, while the circa 1920s-1930s apothecary or drug earthenware jar is modeled after Aztec Pottery and it is impressed on the base "Rainbow Pottery / Hand Made / Sanford, N.C." Furthermore, I found the drug jar last week at the antique shows in Brimfield, Massachusetts and the dealer told me that he found it years ago in New Canaan, Connecticut.
Note: The Strawberry pots are small standing only 5 3/4 inches tall - and I also want to mention that I have a forthcoming article that will be published in Antiques & Auction News about some of the North Carolina pottery that I have found with my niece Alexis throughout the Northeast over the past year or so.
